29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards that enabled each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and trained each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: a) Job site, 5311 Campbells Run Road, Pittsburgh, PA: On or about October 9, 2014, during metal railing installation activities, the employer did not ensure that employees were properly trained in fall protection. Deficiencies noted during the inspection included but were not limited to, furniture being used as an anchor point, lack of fall protection being used, and fall arrest systems being used where the device did not prevent the user from hitting the ground.
