29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit routes must be free and unobstructed. No materials or equipment may be placed, either permanently or temporarily, within the exit route. The exit access must not go through a room that can be locked, such as a bathroom, to reach an exit or exit discharge, nor may it lead into a dead-end corridor. Stairs or a ramp must be provided where the exit route is not substantially level. The emergency exit doors in the following departments/areas were blocked and obstructed: A. Refrigerator Area: The floor plate of the emergency exit door facing south in the Dairy section was bent. B. Refrigerator Receiving Area: The floor plate of the northern exit door was not secured to the door and the exit door would not closed upon opening. C. Freezer Room: The right bullard at the emergency exit door facing east was leaning and bent on the door. D. Seafood Room: The emergency exit door facing east partially blocked with drums of meat waste, box, and pallet.

29 CFR 1910.22(a)(2): The floor of every workroom shall be maintained in a clean and, so far as possible, a dry condition. Where wet processes are used, drainage shall be maintained, and false floors, platforms, mats, or other dry standing places should be provided where practicable. WAREHOUSE: The floor surface of the milk/dairy section located in aisle way S to SC had an abundance of ice build-up from a leak in the roof/ceiling, creating slips and fall hazards. City Line Distributors was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard, 29 CFR 1910.22(a)(2), which was contained in inspection number 123190886, Citation 2 Item 2, issued on 01-22-2010 with respect to a workplace located at 20 Industry Drive, West Haven, CT 06516.
