The fall hazard to the employees ranged from about 13 feet to about 20 feet.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):        (a) Jobsite:  On or about October 8, 2014, three employees were working on the roof and they were not protected from falling.  The fall hazard ranged from about 13 feet in the front of the house to about 30 feet in the back of the house.  The pitch of the roofs ranged from 8 in 12 to 12 in 12.    (b)   Jobsite:  On or about October 8, 2014, employees were climbing out a window from the second floor of the home and onto a stack of 4 by 8 feet OSB that was being lifted by a lull and then the employees would walk across the OSB to the roof.  When the employees did this they were not protected from falling.  The fall hazard to the employees was about 15 feet to the ground.
