Lima, OH: The employer failed to ensure employees were protected from falls while performing wood framing work on a commercial structure. During this work, employees were exposed to falls up to 11 ft. to the ground below.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: a) Newbrook LP on or about October 23, 2014, at the address of 375 N Eastown Rd. Lima, OH: The employer did not ensure that employees had been trained in the appropriate use of fall protection such as but not limited to the use of personal fall arrest systems or alternative measures while performing various wood framing operations from elevated surfaces.
