OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: the employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees from the unexpected falling of the freight elevator: (a) RR Donnelley Pittsburgh - 218 North Braddock Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA: On or about October 23, 2014, an employee from RR Donnelley was a passenger on the elevator and an employee from Commercial Employees Inc. overloaded the freight elevator with product, equipment, and personnel, resulting in the inability of the brakes to hold, allowing it to fall one floor into the basement.
