Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure.  On 20 Oct 2014, three employees of F.H. Terbrock & Sons Inc., were observed working on a residential construction building at 5864 Lindell Blvd, Saint Louis, MO. The three employees where not utilizing any means of fall protection while working on an 8/12 pitch slope above 20-30 feet from the ground, no other means of fall protection was available or being utilized.
