29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Machine guarding was not provided to protect operator(s) and other employees from hazard(s) created by: a. Operation of Meyer Burger TS 205 and TS 207 saws without manufactured guard door interlocks, resulted in potential hazards of contact with the cutting blade and being struck by flying parts from a broken blade. b. Cleaning the vacuum mechanism of the Meyer Burger TS 205 and TS 207 saws with the machines on (blade rotating) resulted in potential contact with the cutting blade and/or being struck by flying parts from a broken blade. Abatement documentation is required for this violation.

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(2)(i): Except as elsewhere required or permitted by Subpart S of Part 1910, live parts of electric equipment operating at 50 volts or more were not guarded against accidental contact by use of approved cabinets or other forms of approved enclosures or by any of the means identified in paragraphs (A), (B), (C), and (D) of 29 CFR 1910.303(g)(2)(i): a. The electrical cabinet door, which included electrical components at 460 V, to TS205 saw in the SPD Rod Lab was not closed and secured closed. Abatement documentation is required for this violation.
