29 CFR 1926.451(b)(2): Scaffold platforms and walkways were not at least 18 inches wide. The employer does not ensure that each scaffold platforms and walkways are at least 18 inches wide. This violation was observed on or about October 21, 2014 at the jobsite, when employees were exposed to an approximate 10 foot fall hazard while performing masonry work from a scaffold without the walkways being at least less 18 inches wide. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that scaffold platforms and walkways are at least 18 inches wide.

29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1): Each employee on a scaffold more than 10 feet above a lower level were not protected from falling to that lower level. The employer does not protect employees from falling when working on scaffold more than 10 feet above a lower level. This violation was observed on or about October 21, 2014, at the job site where employees were exposed to a fall hazard when working from a platform of frame scaffold at approximately 14 feet above the ground without being protected from falling to the ground. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that all employees working from a scaffold 10 feet or more above a lower level are protected from falling.
