29 CFR 1926.50(b): Provisions were not made prior to commencement of the project for prompt medical attention in case of serious injury (a)Work Zone Traffic Control, Inc. @ Lefthand Canyon Drive Resurfacing and Repair Project, Boulder County, CO: On and before October 17th, 2014, the employer did not ensure that prior to the start of resurfacing and repairing an estimated 10 mile section of Lefthand Canyon Drive, an established and verified suitable method for contacting emergency medical services where cellular and land line phone services were not available. This condition exposed employees to not receiving prompt medical attention in the event of serious injury on the project.

29 CFR 1926.50(c): With the absence of reasonably access to an infirmary, clinic, hospital, or physician, the employer had not ensured a person who has a valid certificate in first-aid training was not available at the worksite to render first-aid: (a)Work Zone Traffic Control, Inc. at Lefthand Canyon Drive Resurfacing and Repair Project, Boulder, CO: On and before October 17th, 2014, the employer did not ensure appropriate personal trained in first aid were available throughout an estimated 10 mile section of Lefthand Canyon undergoing resurfacing and repair work. This condition did not allow employees access to a trained and certified first aid responder on the project.
