29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: (a) Monomer Area Shop: Employees operated a Baldor abrasive pedestal grinder (serial #X0903037903) that had a maximum opening of 5/8 of an inch from the right side grinding wheel and the tongue guard, as determined on November 5, 2014. (b) Monomer Area Shop: Employees operated a Baldor abrasive pedestal grinder (serial #X0903037903) that had a maximum opening of 1 inch from the left side grinding wheel and the tongue guard, as determined on November 5, 2014. (c) Delrin Area Shop: Employees operated a Baldor abrasive pedestal grinder (serial #F0207187004) that had a maximum opening of 1 inch between the right side grinding wheel and the tongue guard, as determined on November 5, 2014.
