29 CFR 1910.266(f)(3)(viii): Each machine manufactured on or before August 1, 1996 did not have a cab which met the requirements specified in paragraph (f)(3)(vii) or a protective canopy for the operator which met the requirements specified in (f)(3)(viii)(A-D). Block #8, Fire Salvage- Warm Springs, Oregon- (a) The skidder operator was operating a CAT 518, Skidder, SN# 6KC00707 and was not protected with a canopy to prevent, limbs, saplings, and branches from entering the cab, exposing the employee to serious injuries.
