29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): On November 14, 2014, and at times prior thereto, employees working in the warehouse were exposed to fiberglass insulation fibers falling from the open ceiling. The employer had not assessed the workplace to determine if hazards were present. This condition exposed employees to health hazards such as but not limited to skin and respiratory hazards.
