29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: Salmon Patty Processing Room: A Hollymatic Super Model 54 Food Portioning Machine, Serial 65927, manufacture date 02/2013 was used without adequate guarding to prevent employees from getting hand caught in rotating parts resulting in an employee suffering a finger amputation injury on September 23, 2014. Raw Sea Foods, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315141523, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on November 1, 2011, with respect to a workplace located at 481 Currant Road, Fall River, MA 02720.
