29 CFR 1910.1000(e): Feasible administrative or engineering controls were not determined and implemented to achieve compliance with the limits prescribed in 29 CFR 1910.1000(a) through (d):    On or about December 23, 2014 an employee working in the shakeout area to ensure excess dust is removed from parts was overexposed to respirable silica dust at a concentration of 2.98 mg/m3 expressed as an 8-hour time weighted average of approximately 5.32 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 0.56  mg/m3 based on a 387 minute sampling period.  Effective engineering controls were not implemented and maintained to ensure the employee's exposure to respirable silica was within the permissible exposure limit.    Asama Coldwater Manufacturing, Inc. dba ACM Georgia, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.1000(e) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 966727, citation number 1, item number 1b and was affirmed as a final order on 08/07/2014, with respect to the workplace located at 975 Thomson Highway, in Warrenton, GA.
