29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met: On or about October 30, 2014, employees were exposed to chemical hazards when the employer did not have a hazard communication program implemented for temporary employees. Employees used chemicals such as, but not limited to, glue and catalyst (isocyanate and flammables).

29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8): The employer did not maintain in the workplace copies of the required safety data sheets for each hazardous chemical: On or about October 30, 2014, employees were exposed to chemical hazards when the employer did not have a safety data sheet for each chemical in use. Safety Data Sheets were missing for chemicals used by employees including but were not limited to, hydraulic fluid and oil which are added to forklifts.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employer did not provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new chemical hazard the employees have not previously been trained about is introduced into their work area: On or about November 13, 2014 in the production and warehousing areas; employees were exposed to chemical hazards where the employer did not provide effective hazard communication training to employees, including temporary staff, working with "Detco" GC-1 Glue Cleaner containing >95% methanol, "Bayer Material Science" DESMODUR RFE containing isocyanates, and "Multek" polyurethane adhesive A065100. Global Abrasive Products, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 1910.1200(h)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 316029727, citation number 1, item number 5 and was affirmed as a final order on May 25, 2012; with respect to a workplace located at 62 Mill Street, Lockport, New York 14094.
