29 CFR 1910.147(c)(1): The employer did not establish a program consisting of an energy control procedure, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performed any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment shall be isolated from the energy source and rendered inoperative 76 Meadow Street, East Hartford, CT 06108 on or about 11/12/2014: An energy control program which included training was not provided for the employees performing servicing and maintenance operations on the Bauer natural gas compressor. An employee sustained 1st and 2nd degree burns to his hands and face when he was trying to stop a natural gas leak from the compressor.
