29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area:    a) the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.1200;  b) operations where hazardous chemicals are present;  c) location and availability of the written hazard communication program and material safety data sheets;  d) physical and chemical hazards of chemicals in the work area;  e) methods to detect the presence of hazardous chemicals in the work area;    The employee did not provide training in accordance with the Hazard Communication Standard, employees were exposed to chemicals such as but not limited to ZEP FS Formula (corrosive pH>13) when cleaning the shackles. On or about November 6, 2014 an employee received a burn to the right forearm when using the ZEP FS Formula mixed with water to clean the shackles.

On or about November 6, 2014 an employee receive a burn to the right forearm when using the ZEP FS Formula; b) The employer did not ensure that personal protective equipment such as rubber gloves, sleeves or apron was worn during the cleaning process.
