29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasion; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes. (a) Housekeeping staff: On or about DECEMBER 9, 2014, and at times prior thereto, housekeeping staff were required to clean rooms that had been treated with insecticides that had chemicals such as, but not limited to Alpine Dust Insecticide residue (Dinotefuran) and Temprid 75 Residual Insecticide (beta-cyfluthrin and Imidacloprid), without having any type of glove available to protect dermal surfaces. Note: Abatement certifications IS required for this item.
