29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Shop area, 213 Smith Transport Road, Roaring Spring, PA 16673: Observed on or about November 21, 2014, a Kuper brand veneer stitching machine (model number FW 1200, serial number 28121742) was not properly guarded. A gap of approximately 7 inches located below the operating surface was not guarded. Employees using the machine were exposed to caught-by and burn hazards.
