29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation shall be protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with paragraph (b) or (c) of this section. Location: Wright State University, Transportation Building a: Employees were exposed to a cave-in hazard while digging in a trench, which did not any means of cave-in protection, to a depth of greater than 9 feet.
