29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1): Employees on scaffolds more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above a lower level were not protected from falling to that lower level by fall protection established in paragraphs (g)(1)(i)-(vii) of this section: At the job site, 5428 Ledge Stone Dr., Manhattan Kansas, employees were working from a pole scaffold installing siding without a fall protection system in place. 29 CFR 1926.454(a): The employer shall have each employee who performs work while on a scaffold trained by a person qualified in the subject matter to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used and to understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards. The training shall include the following areas, as applicable: At the job site, 5428 Ledge Stone Dr., Manhattan Kansas, the employer had not trained employees working from the pole scaffold in the recognition of fall hazards and procedures to control or minimize those hazards. Employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 18 feet to the ground.
