29 CFR 1910.95(g)(5)(i): The employer did not establish, within 6 months of an employee's first exposure at or above the action level, a valid baseline audiogram against which subsequent audiograms can be compared. a) Grinding Department, an employee was exposed to noise levels above 85 decibels (dBA). The employee's extrapolated full shift noise level was approximately 119.2% of the allowable 8-hour time weighted sound level of 90 decibels (dBA). The equivalent dBA level of 119.2% is approximately 90 dBA, and was representative of this employee 's 8-hour time-weighted average. The employer did not ensure that the employee had an initial audiogram within 6 months of exposure, on or about, December 4 , 2014. a) Grinding Department, an employee was exposed to noise levels above 85 decibels (dBA).
