29 CFR 1910.101(b): The in-plant handling, storage, and utilization of all compressed gases in cylinders, portable tanks, rail tankcars, or motor vehicle cargo tanks were not in accordance with Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965, which is incorporated by reference as specified in CFR 1910.6: (a) On or about 12/15/2014 - Packaging area, the top support for the propane cylinder being used to support a gas heater was altered in accordance with Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965, Section 3, Safe Handling Rules For Cylinders of Compressed Gases, Section 3.1.15 and 3.1.16, which state that one should never attempt to repair or to alter cylinders, valves, or safety relief devices, and never use cylinders as rollers, supports, or for any purpose other than to contain as received.
