29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe condition(s) and the regulation(s) applicable to his work environment to control or eliminate any hazard(s) or other exposure to illness or injury:  (a) South Oyster Bay Road, Bethpage, NY (Worksite), Highway Work Zone - The employer did not train employees that perform work in highway work zones to recognize the hazards associated with mobile equipment and vehicles that operate with an obstructed fields of vision. The lack of such training resulted in an employee being struck by a vehicle that was operating in reverse with an obstructed view on, or about December 17, 2014.   Note: Abatement for this violation was previously documented; therefore, the employer is not required to submit abatement certification or documentation for this violation in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
