29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling: (a) Production: The employer failed to ensure that power strips were used in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling. Power strips that were intended to supply power to audiovisual and computer electronic equipment were being used for equipment such as sewing machines. (b) Production: The employer failed to ensure that space heaters were used in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling. Space heaters intended for household use were being used in the production area and were not plugged directly onto a grounded outlet. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
