29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Meat Grinding Area: Employees, using a step stool to monitor the meat processing within the vat, were exposed to the rotating auger blades, rotating mixing paddles and rotating grinder within the open surface meat vat of the Velati meat grinding equipment. b) Meat Grinding Area: Employees, using a step stool to monitor the meat processing within the vat, were exposed to falling onto the takeout rotating conveyor belt of the Velati meat grinding equipment.
