29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(ii): Flexible cords were not used only in continuous lengths without splice or tap. Hard-service cord and junior hard-service cord No. 14 and larger was not repaired so that the splice retained the insulation, outer sheath properties, and usage characteristics of the cord being spliced. Wood Shop, employees operating a Delta Drill Press with a spliced flexible power cord were exposed to electrical hazards.
