Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees; in that employees were exposed to the hazard of being struck by vehicular traffic while working on the loading/receiving dock are behind the store located 721 S. 72nd Street #101, Omaha, NE 68114:    On or about January 7, 2015 an employee of the company was struck-by a delivery truck as the employee was assisting the driver of the truck to back up to an Autoquip (loader) Model# 99000090 Serial# 4013172231 located at the rear of the store.     Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard would be to:   1. Develop and implement a traffic pattern when loading and unloading trucks which would provide for the safety of pedestrians or workers in the areas where trucks are backing  2. Policies and procedures to address backing and struck by traffic hazards, including the use of additional spotter when trucks back-up, and or requiring trucks not to back-up if at all possible
