29 CFR 1910.305(a)(2)(x): Flexible cords and cables were not protected from accidental damage, as might be caused, for example, by sharp corners, projections, and doorways or other pinch points: a) On or about January 14, 2015 in the Administrative Area, a postal meter operating at 110 volts was found with a cord running through the wall at the base of a cubicle. The cord was found pinched between the two metal baseboards of the cubicle, potentially exposing employees to electrical hazards.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)B: Unless specifically permitted otherwise in paragraph (g)(1)(ii) of this section, flexible cords and cables may not be used to run through holes in walls, ceilings, or floors: a) On or about January 14, 2015 in the Administrative Area, a postal meter operating at 110 volts was found with a cord running through the wall at the base of a cubicle. It then attached to a surge protector where it ran through the baseboards of the opposite cubicle wall to plug into a receptacle in the drywall, exposing employees to potential electrical hazards.
