29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b). The employer does not protect employees from falling when working 6 feet or more above lower levels. This violation was observed on or about January 15, 2015, at the construction site on the south side of the house where an employee was exposed to a 10 foot 6 inches fall hazard when performing roofing activities on a residential structure without a fall protection system. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that employees engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels are protected from falling.
