29 CFR 1910.106(d)(3)(ii)(a): Metal cabinets were not deemed to be in compliance as they were not constructed with the bottom, top, door, and sides of cabinet at least No. 18 gage sheet iron and double walled with 1 1/2-inch air space; the joints riveted, welded, or made tight by some equally effective means; the door provided with a three-point lock; and/or the door sill raised at least 2 inches above the bottom of the cabinet:   On or about January 15, 2015: Employees working in and around the flammable storage area are exposed to fire and explosion hazards, where chemicals such as but not limited to liquid paints, aerosol paints, lacquers, and lacquer thinner are stored in two cabinets.  a.  The small storage cabinet was not constructed of at least 18 gage steel, was not double walled, and did not have a raised door sill of at 2 inches to contain spills.    b.  The large storage cabinet was not constructed of at least 18 gage steel, was not double walled, and did not have a three-point locking mechanism.
