29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment were not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents.  The employer does not provide eye and face protective equipment when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents. This violation was observed on or about January 15, 2015, when employees were exposed to a struck by hazard when operating a Dewalt table top miter saw without wearing eye and face protective equipment.   Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the abatement date, the employer must submit documentation showing that it is in compliance with the standard, including describing the steps that it is taking to ensure that all employees use eye and face protective equipment when operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents.
