29 CFR 1910.147(c)(1): The employer did not establish a program consisting of an energy control procedure, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performed any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment shall be isolated from the energy source and rendered inoperative:    The employer failed to develop a hazardous energy procedure to ensure that employees are protected from cuts lacerations and amputations while setting up the machines. The energy control procedures should include production equipment, such as the Strippet 1000, Strippet 750, and the Storm CNC.     Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:     The employer failed to ensure adequate machine guarding was provided to protect employees operating the following machines, thereby exposing employees to cuts, lacerations, fractures, and amputations by contact with rotating machine components, flying chips, and parts:    a) Rusch horizontal saw, Model AM270   b) Clausing drill presses/mills, stations 1 through 6  c) LeBlond and Clausing lathes    No abatement documentation or certification is required for this item.
