29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with paragraph (b) or (c) of this section. Excavation was not made entirely in stable rock and exceeded 5 foot in depth: a) 200 Linden Park East, Cranford, NJ 07016. The employer allowed his employees to work in a trench/excavation in excess of 5 foot deep when they were not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system exposing them to crushing and engulfment hazards. Condition occurred on or about 01/21/15.
