Employee(s) working in the kitchen area of the facility did not wear appropriate eye protection such as goggles and/or face shields to protect their face and eyes from corrosive liquid chemicals including, but not limited to dishwashing detergent. On or about December 2, 2014, an employee suffered face burns from a sodium hydroxide based dishwashing detergent, while wearing standard prescription eyeglasses.
