29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer did not administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.9(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent:    The employer has not established and maintained a continuing, effective hearing conservation program when the following employees exposure to noise exceeds an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 dBA:      An employee was exposed to continuous noise levels at 80.6% of the permissible daily dose (8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 dBA), while performing work activities at the extruder. The equivalent dBA level of the 80.6% is approximately 88.4 dBA. The exposure level is derived from a sample collected over a 324 minute sampling period with zero exposure assumed for the unsampled period of time (156 minutes).
