29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered: A) Cooper Farms Hatchery, Inc., located at 14014 Township Road 119, Paulding, OH 45879: On or about January 8, 2015, the employer failed to ensure that employees, who were collecting turkey eggs from the nests, were provided adequate personal protective equipment such as, but not limited to, cut resistant gloves. Employees were exposed to laceration hazards.

29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1)(i): The employer did not select and have each affected employee use, the types of personal protective equipment that would protect the affected employee(s) from the hazards identified in the hazard assessment: A) Cooper Farms Hatchery, Inc., located at 14014 Township Road 119, Paulding, OH 45879: On or about January 8, 2015, the employers hazard assessment did not protect employees from identified laceration hazards. The employer did not require affected employees to wear adequate personal protective equipment such as, but not limited to, cut resistant gloves that would protect employees from cut injuries while collecting eggs from turkeys' nests.
