29 CFR 1926.501(c)(1): When employees were exposed to falling objects, the employer did not have each employee wear a hard hat and did not erect toeboards, screens, canopy structures or barricades to prevent objects from falling from higher levels:  a)  At the jobsite, on the 2nd floor mezzanine above the lobby area, on or about 1/23/15:  Employees were working and transiting through the lobby area where the mezzanine above was not fitted with toeboards, exposing those employees to hazards from falling objects.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(2): 1926.501(b)(2)(i): Each employee who was constructing a leading edge 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:  a)  At the jobsite, on the 3rd floor deck, on or about 1/23/15:  Employees were installing a deck onto truss joists, spaced 20 inches apart, exposing them to falls of 10 feet to the lower level when working inside the building footprint and 23 feet to ground when at the building edge.  This work was accomplished without fall protection of any kind.  Rednelo's Builders, LLC. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 986566, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 10/15/14, with respect to a workplace located at 84 Sisson Road, South Glens Falls, NY.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(14): "Wall openings." Each employee working on, at, above, or near wall openings (including those with chutes attached) where the outside bottom edge of the wall opening is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels and the inside bottom edge of the wall opening is less than 39 inches (1.0 m) above the walking/working surface, shall be protected from falling by the use of a guardrail system, a safety net system, or a personal fall arrest system.  a)  At the jobsite, on the 2nd floor, on or about 1/23/15:  Employees were working in close proximity to 5 separate floor-to-ceiling wall openings where guardrails were not installed, exposing workers to potential falls of 13 feet to ground.  b)  At the jobsite, on the 2nd floor, on or about 1/23/15:  Employees were working in close proximity to and transiting an area where a partition was installed with studs that were 20 inches on center, and where no guardrail was installed, exposing workers to potential falls of 13 feet to the lower level.    Rednelo's Builders, LLC. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard CFR 1926.502(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 946316, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 1/27/14, with respect to a workplace located at Sisters of Franciscan Village, Buckley Road, North Syracuse, NY.
