29 CFR 1910.36(a)(3): An opening into an exit was not protected by a self-closing fire door that remains closed or automatically closes in an emergency upon the sounding of a fire alarm or employee alarm system. Each fire door, including its frame and hardware, must be listed or approved by a nationally recognized testing laboratory. Section 1910.155(c)(3)(iv)(A) of this part defines "listed" and � 1910.7 of this part defines a "nationally recognized testing laboratory."  Heat Treat Area  On or about 1/29/15, the emergency exit door nearest the ovens was not self-closing, nor would it automatically close in the event of a fire.

29 CFR 1910.37(a)(2): Exit routes were not arranged so that employees would not have to travel toward a high hazard area, nor was the hazard effectively shielded by suitable partitions or barriers  Heat Treat Area  On or about 1/29/15, the emergency exit door was located between the heat treat ovens and the vanishing oil application area, where a 55 gallon drum of combustible vanishing oil is stored and applied to parts less than 5 feet away.   The ovens typically operate at 450-650 F.  The vanishing oil has a flashpoint of 145F and a flammability range of 1-7%

29 CFR 1910.106(d)(5)(i): "Egress." flammable liquids, including stock for sale, were stored in a location that limited the use of exits, stairways, or areas normally used for the safe egress of people.  Heat Treat Area  On or about 1/29/15, in the vanishing oil application area, a 55 gallon drum of combustible vanishing oil is stored and applied within 12" of the exit door.  The vanishing oil has a flashpoint of 145F and a flammability range of 1-7%.  The ovens typically operate at 450-650 F and are located on the opposite side of the door.

29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6)(ii): Except as provided in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(7) and 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(8), the employer did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled, tagged or marked with the product identifier and words, pictures, symbols, or combination thereof, which provide at least general information regarding the hazards of the chemicals and which, in conjunction with the other information immediately available to employees under the hazard communication program, would provide employees with the specific information regarding the physical and health hazards of the hazardous chemical.  Throughout the shop  On or about 1/29/15, There were two instances of unlabeled chemical containers.   1. Spray bottles containing vanishing oil and kerosene were found in the shop without any hazard information on the containers.  The contents of the bottles were written on them in marker, without any other information. 2. 55 gallon drums used to dispense and capture vanishing oil were not labeled with contents or hazards.
