29 CFR 1926.304(h)(1): Each circular crosscut table saw was not guarded by a hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw blade above the table and that portion of the saw above the material being cut: Note: See paragraph (i)(1) of this section for additional requirements for hand-fed crosscut table saws. (a) Second floor, near the "sun room": On January 27, 2015 the employer did not ensure that its sub-contractor protected its employees from using a SawStop, without a guard in place (model CNS175, serial no. C121100495). Note: Abatement certification is NOT required.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a) Porte cochere: On January 26, 2015, the employer did not ensure that sub-contractors protected their employees from fall to ground hazards of approximately 19 feet while installing decking without being secured to an anchor point or other means of fall protection. Note: Abatement certification and documentation ARE required for this item.
