29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i.: a) Flexo machine stacker, shop area, 2160 North Main Street, Washington, PA 15301: Observed on or about February 04, 2015, the nozzle on a compressed air gun located on the Flexo machine stacker was not capable of reducing the air pressure to less than 30 pounds per square inch (p.s.i.). The air pressure was set to approximately 120 pounds per square inch (p.s.i.) at the time of the inspection. Employees using the air gun to dust off equipment were exposed to the hazard of embolism. b) Flexo machine, 2160 North Main Street, Washington, PA 15301: Observed on or about February 04, 2015, the nozzle on a compressed air gun located on the wall next to the Flexo machine was not capable of reducing the air pressure to less than 30 pounds per square inch (p.s.i.). 29 CFR 1910.304(g)(6)(vi)(C)(8): Exposed noncurrent-carrying metal parts of cord-and plug-connected equipment, including portable hand lamps, that may become energized were not grounded: a) Roda machine, shop floor, 2160 North Main Street, Washington, PA 15301: Observed on or about February 04, 2015, the metal lamp shade on a portable hand lamp attached to the a yellow screen surrounding the Roda machine was not grounded. Employees making adjustments to the Roda machine were exposed to the hazard of electric shock and burns.
