29 CFR 1910.134(d)(1)(i): Selection of appropriate respirators was not based on the respiratory hazard(s) to which the worker was exposed and user factors that affect respirator performance and reliability: Painting Department: Employer did not ensure that all employees wore the appropriate respirator during operations such as painting insulation cores with epoxy and enamel paints, where employees were exposed to solvents and epoxy ingredients and products. Employees were wearing filtering facepiece dust masks. The appropriate respiratory protection against solvents and epoxy ingredients and products was a tight-fitting elastomeric respirator with a combination organic vapor cartridges and P-100 filters.
