29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): Protective eye equipment was not required where there was a reasonable probability of injury that could be prevented by such equipment: (a) On or about February 6, 2015 at Brewer Meats in the slaughter/production areas, USDA-FSIS employees had been exposed to raw meat, urine, blood and other related material from goats, sheep, and cows, which had gotten into their eyes. Employees had suffered from eye irritations.

29 CFR 1910.132(d)(2): The employer did not verify, through a written certification, that the required workplace hazard assessment had been performed: (a) On or about February 6, 2015 at Brewer Meats in the slaughter/production areas, the USDA-FSIS had not performed a personal protective equipment hazard assessment for the employees working at Brewer meats. The employees had been exposed to overhead hazards, cutting hazards, and biological hazards. There was no written and certified hazard assessment to address these items.
