29 CFR 1910.141(g)(2): Eating and drinking areas. No employee shall be allowed to consume food or beverages in a toilet room nor in any area exposed to a toxic material. (a) Metech Recycling @ 500 W 53rd Place, Denver CO 80216: On or before February 10th, 2015 the employer allowed employees to consume beverages while dismantling electronic waste which may contain lead, cadmium and other toxic metals. Employer stated that employees are allowed to have beverage containers which have a lid. This condition exposed employees to chemical hazards.

29 CFR 1910.1025(h)(1): Surfaces. All surfaces shall be maintained as free as practicable of accumulations of lead. (a) Metech Recycling @ 500 W 53rd Place, Denver CO 80216: On or before February 10th, 2015 the employer did not ensure that workstation surfaces were cleaned regularly to remove lead accumulations. Wipe sample results ranged between 169 -1960 ug for lead on three workstations sampled.

29 CFR 1910.1027(m)(4)(i): The employer did not institute a training program for all employees who were potentially exposed to cadmium, ensure employee participation in the program, and maintain a record of the contents of such program: (a) Metech Recycling @ 500 W 53rd Place, Denver CO 80216: On or before February 10th, 2015 the employer did not ensure that a training program was developed and implemented to inform all employees who were potentially exposed to cadmium of the requirements of this section. Cadmium was detected, through wipe-samples, on employee work-benches in the facility.
