29 CFR 1910.184(h)(1): Sling use. Employers used natural and synthetic fiber-rope slings that did not have permanently affixed and legible identification markings stating the rated capacity for the type(s) of hitch(es) used and the angle upon which it is based, type of fiber material, and the number of legs if more than one. (a) Facility- 220 South Noah Drive, Saxonburg, PA: On or about February 11, 2015, employees were using a synthetic sling to lift glass panels that weighed approximately 250 pounds each, and the synthetic sling did not have an affixed legible identification marking stating what the rated capacity was for the sling.
