29 CFR 1910.303(b)(1)(ii): Electrical equipment was not free from recognized hazards, based on the mechanical strength and durability, including, for parts designed to enclose and protect other equipment, the adequacy of the protection thus provided: a) Soiled Dock- The employer failed to ensure that all electrical equipment designed to enclose and protect other equipment, such as the electrical metallic conduit surrounding the wires next to the Soiled Dock Man Door, was of the proper strength and durability and free of recognized hazards. This conduit appeared to have been hit by items that were stored in front of it and was disconnected from the box above it. This left the wires exposed to damage and put strain on the terminal screw connections. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
