OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to potential crushing hazards from falling loads and/or lift parts from the improper operations of auto lifts: a) Upper bay, auto lift closest to reception area - Employees were exposed to crushing hazards while they worked around a Global one-post auto lift with a capacity of approximately 6800 lbs. The auto lift was missing the safety device which would prevent the auto lift crushing the employees while they worked around and under the Global lift. Observed on or about 02/13/2015.
