29 CFR 1928.57(a)(8)(i): Where guards are used to provide the protection required by this section, they shall be designed and located to protect against inadvertent contact with the hazard being guarded. On or about February 11, 2015, and times prior thereto, in the Press Area, the employer failed to ensure that the bale handling system openings had been guarded to prevent employees from contact with the point of operation: a) Between the bagger machine and the bale positioner.
