29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1)(i): When the employer had assessed the workplace hazard(s) and determined that hazard(s) were present, the employer did not select and/or use the types of personal protective equipment that would protect the affected employee from the hazards in the hazards assessment: a) Land View Facility located at 276 U.S. Highway 30, Hansen, Idaho: On or about 2-5-2015, an employee was cutting a stainless steel angle brace at head height with a 5" abrasive cutting wheel with a DeWalt model D28402K angle grinder with only safety glasses and without a face shield as required by the employer's PPE assessment for that task. Note: Abatement Certification and Documentation are required for this item.
