29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): a). On or about 12/3/14, a Here's Help employee working at The Skydyne Company, Port Jervis, NY, in the paint/mold area. The employee, working in the paint room, with an air gun, the employee was spraying Norox Mec and Polycor Gel Coat to make a mold of a case. The Norox Mec is a corrosive. The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present. b). On or about 12/3/14, a Here's Help employee working at The Skydyne Company, Port Jervis, NY, in the paint/mold area. The employee dispenses Norox Mec (approximately 6 grams) and mixes with the Polycor Gel Coat (approximately 6 grams) and mixes with the Polycor Gel Coat (approximately 200 grams). Norox Mec is a corrosive. The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present.
